These lists are useful for brand new campaigns to exclude known garbage sites. If you’re looking for high CTRs and high funnel conversions like pageviews/sessions these might hurt your “performance”. These blacklists are based on around a million dollars worth of spend in TTD from ~150 advertisers. They started as a personal global blacklist to exclude shit sites like zoo.com, topix.org, and other garbage. Eventually they grew to include low performing and fraudulent sites.
These are US only, not global. The first list contains “topix” without a TLD, which could cause errors in exact match systems. The RTB list is almost all websites with very few apps. I would recommend starting all campaigns with these lists enabled and add to them as needed.
